Janjetovic started his career in the youth ranks at NSWPL club Sydney United before being spotted by Sydney FC and was signed up for their inaugural Youth League campaign in which Sydney FC would win.[1] He would retern to Sydney United, as Sydney FC failed to offer him a senior team contract. He was soon loaned out to fellow A-League club Brisbane Roar as injury cover for Griffin McMaster as regular custodian Liam Reddy was out injured,[2] however did not make an appearance for the Roar.
